The Tropical Afri-Disco Table Lamps are an exclusive collaboration between sister design team Studio Ananta and Merchants on Long. The collection is inspired by a fantasy of African 70’s disco vibes. A time when glitz, glamour and shine was famously celebrated while dancing under the stars. The lamps are made in partnership with Monkeybiz bead artists, each bead is individually placed on and finished with a resin coating and a protective lacquer spray. Finished with an exposed industrial bulb, each lamp is available in two sizes.

ABOUT ANANTA DESIGN STUDIO

Founded by two sisters in Cape Town, Ananta is a fun and creative design studio that started during the Covid 2020 lockdown. Inspired by the local crafts found on street corners of Cape Town, their pieces celebrate their community and their Indian and South African heritage. The sisters form reimagined creative pieces full of colour, and joy.
